Concert-goer alleges other fans attacked her in Dodger Stadium lot

A woman sued the Dodgers and Live Nation Entertainment Inc. Thursday, alleging the team and the event promoter share liability for injuries she suffered when she was allegedly attacked by other fans in a Dodger Stadium parking lot while attending an Aventura concert in September.

Nadia Manzano’s Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit alleges negligence and premises liability and seeks unspecified damages. A Dodger spokesman said the team does not comment on pending litigation. A Live Nation representative could not be immediately reached.

Manzano went to see the Dominican-American bachata group at Dodger Stadium on Sept. 5. The security team was employed by the Dodgers, and Live Nation promoted the event, which was part of the band’s “Inmortal” tour, the suit states.

Manzano was in parking lot P when other fans stood in front of her car and verbally harassed her, with some reaching inside the vehicle to “violently assault and batter her,” the suit states.

The security team stood by and watched, failed to stop the altercation and did not summon aid or notify the police, according to the suit. Alcohol was sold during the concert, increasing the likelihood of such assaults and batteries, the suit alleges.

Manzano suffered lost earnings, personal injuries and emotional distress and has had to pay for medical care that will continue into the future, the suit states.
