Man stabbed to death near Brentwood, investigation underway

A man was fatally stabbed Wednesday at an encampment in an unincorporated area near Brentwood, and an investigation was underway.

The crime was reported at about 6:40 a.m. in the 11600 block of San Vicente Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Paramedics took the man to a hospital, where he died. Information on his identity was not immediately available.

No arrests have been reported. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS. To issue an anonymous tip online, go to lacrimestoppers.org.
