Man who went missing in Del Rey found early Friday morning

An 83-year-old man who uses a cane and was last seen in Del Rey has been found.

Peter Menotti had last been seen around 11:30 a.m. Thursday near McConnell Avenue and Coral Tree Place and Jefferson Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated a Silver Alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The CHP reported that Menotti was located at 1:32 a.m. Friday. No further details were released.

The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
