A man was shot to death in Pomona, authorities said Monday.

Officers responded at 4:40 p.m. Sunday to a report of shots fired in the 2200 block of Las Vegas Avenue, according to Pomona police Sgt. Iain Miller.

“Upon arrival, the officers located a male adult down in a yard suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds,” Miller said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, he said. He was identified only as a Pomona resident.

Information about suspects or motive was not available, Miller said.

Anyone with information was asked to call Pomona police at 909-620- 2085 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS(8477).
