

Authorities Wednesday identified a 30-year-old man who was killed in a shooting in Compton.
Deputies from Compton station responded about 10:15 p.m. on June 8 to a shooting call in the 1700 block of East Alondra Boulevard and found Israel Miranda, who had sustained at least one gunshot wound to the upper body, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Miranda was pronounced dead at the scene by Compton Fire Department personnel.
Details of what led to the shooting were not immediately available.
