An 11-year-old Long Beach girl was found Friday, about 24 hours after first going missing.
The Long Beach Police Department had circulated a photo of Leilani Sucess Collins and asked for the public’s help in locating her.
The youngster was initially reported missing Thursday morning. She had returned home by the time police arrived at her family’s residence to take a report, but fled a second time once officers left the area, according to police.
Collins was found unharmed in Long Beach about 11:30 Friday morning and was returned to her family, according to an LBPD statement. No further details were released.
