Man arrested after allegedly firing at LA Sheriff’s deputies in La Puente

A deputy-involved shooting occurred during the incident.

 Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested a man suspected of shooting at them in La Puente Thursday.

The deputies were serving a search warrant in the 15500 block of Loukelton Street, near Hacienda Boulevard and Amar Road, when they were shot at by the man at about 6:20 p.m., said Deputy Eric Ortiz of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Deputies contained the area and the man eventually surrendered, said Deputy Morgan Arteaga of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

A deputy-involved shooting occurred during the incident, according to LASD. The suspect was reportedly not struck by gunfire.

The man’s name was not released.
