The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department continued its search Friday for a missing 54-year-old man from L.A. who was diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Edward John Wilson was last seen about 6 a.m. on May 5, according to LASD Deputy Morgan Arteaga. The department did not provide any dtails about where Wilson was last seen.

Wilson is white. He stands 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 190 pounds, Arteaga said. He has hazel eyes and dark brown hair. He also has scars on his chest.

Anyone with information on Wilson’s whereabouts was asked to call the Sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500 or 911.

“If you prefer to provide information anonymously, you may call “Crime Stoppers” by dialing (800) 222-TIPS (8477), use your smartphone by downloading the “P3 Tips” Mobile APP on Google play or the Apple App Store or by using the website http://lacrimestoppers.org,” read a post from LASD on Wilson’s disappearance on Facebook.
