A man was taken into custody Wednesday in the West Covina area after leading sheriff’s deputies on a pursuit in a Ford Mustang convertible.

Deputies began following the man, who was driving recklessly and on the wrong side of the road at times, in the Industry area at about 2:20 p.m., according to CBS2.

Deputies performed a PIT maneuver on the red car — which KCAL9 reported was stolen — as the suspect was driving on Amar Road about 2:45 p.m. The Mustang spun around and ended up on a sidewalk, and deputies immediately ran up and pulled the driver out of the car.

His name was not immediately released.
