Dec.6

At10:54 a.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a theft from vehicle thatoccurred in the 600 block of East Sandra Avenue. Sometime during the previousevening, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and fled withpersonal documents. The investigation is pending a review of the victim’ssurveillance footage.

At11:30 a.m., an officer responded to 88 Beef Noodle,located at 1045 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a vandalism report. The officerdiscovered suspect(s) threw a concrete block through the restaurant’s frontwindow. The investigation is pending a review of the surveillance footage.

At4:06 p.m., an officer responded to Arcadia Retirement Village, located at 607 W.Duarte Road, regarding a battery report. The victim, a medical technician,stated she was administering medication to a resident when he slapped her inthe face. The victim was not desirous of prosecution and was not injured duringthe incident.

At5:13 p.m., an officer responded to Public Storage, located at 12340 Lower AzusaRoad, regarding a commercial burglary report. The victim discovered her storageunit had been opened and the suspect(s) fled with numerous purses. It isunknown how the suspect accessed the storage locker.

Dec.8

At1:53 p.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a package theft that occurredin the 700 block of Val Street. Surveillance footage revealed the packages hadbeen stolen but, due to the placement of the camera, they did not capture thesuspect stealing the packages.

At10:22 p.m., an officer took a telephonic report of an incident of fraud thatoccurred in the 400 block of West Huntington Drive. The victim asked herneighbor’s son to purchase a few items for her and withdraw cash using thevictim’s debit card. The son purchased the items and ultimately withdrew anunauthorized amount from the victim’s debit account.

Dec.9

At4:15 p.m., an officer responded to the 900 block of West Duarte Road regardinga traffic collision between two vehicles. Upon contacting the drivers, theofficer discovered one of them exhibited signs of being under the influence ofalcohol. Through a series of tests, the officer determined the suspect, a67-year-old male from San Gabriel, had a blood alcohol content of 0.25%. Theofficer also discovered the suspect was driving without a license. The suspectwas arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Dec.10

At6:31 a.m., an officer responded to Hampton Inn, located at 311 E. HuntingtonDrive, regarding a domestic violence issue. The investigation revealed anargument between the suspect and his girlfriend escalated and resulted in thesuspect hitting the victim. The 29-year-old male from Santa Fe Springs wasarrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

At7:44 a.m., an officer responded to Fox Junk Removal, located at 19 La Porte St.,regarding a theft from vehicle report. The victim discovered the catalyticconverters had been removed from three of their dump trucks sometime during theprevious evening. The investigation is pending a review of the surveillancefootage.

At10:17 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 900 block of WigwamAvenue regarding a burglary report. An investigation revealed an unknownsuspect entered the home that is under construction and stole numerous toolsand pieces of equipment.

Dec.11

At4:14 a.m., officers responded to Fox Junk Removal, located at 19 La Porte St.,regarding a suspect seen via surveillance cameras actively stealing catalyticconverters. The suspect was observed activating one of the vehicle’s alarms andthen was seen fleeing northbound on Santa Anita Avenue in a sedan. Officerswere unable to locate him. Two catalytic converters were stolen during theincident. The suspect is described as a male of unknown ethnicity,approximately 18 to 30-years-old, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-10, 150 to 180 pounds, andwearing a baseball hat, short sleeve t-shirt, pants, and carrying a backpack.The investigation is ongoing.

At10:46 a.m., an officer responded to Bargain Box, located at 64 E. Live Oak Ave.,regarding an attempted commercial burglary. The officer determined the suspectpried and bent a security plate attached to the rear door but failed to enterthe business. There is no suspect information at this time. 

Dec.12

At11:20 a.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a package theft thatoccurred in the 600 block of Fairview Avenue. The victim stated her package,containing a cellphone, was stolen from her porch. The incident was notcaptured by surveillance cameras and there are no investigative leads at thetime of this report.

At11:48 a.m., an officer responded JCPenney, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave., inreference to a medical assist request. An investigation revealed the suspectrequired medical attention while loss prevention was attempting to detain herfor stealing. While searching the suspect, the officer located methamphetamine.A records check revealed the suspect had three outstanding misdemeanorwarrants. The 48-year-old female from Walnut was arrested and transported tothe Arcadia City Jail for booking.
