Arcadia Police Blotter: Oct 18-24

Oct. 18

At 1:40 a.m.,officers responded to Motel 6, located at 225 W. Colorado Place, regarding multiplereports of shots fired. Officers located numerous spent shell casings alongwith a semi-automatic pistol, but they did not find any victims or suspects.The investigation is ongoing.

At 1:04 p.m., an officer responded to the 00 block of Flower Streetregarding an attempted stolen vehicle report. The victim confronted the suspectas the 23-year-old male from Pasadena attempted to steal the vehicle. Officerslocated the suspect and discovered he was in possession of a glass smokingpipe. A records check revealed the suspect was on probation for burglary. He wasarrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Oct. 19

At 11:44 a.m., anofficer responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Fairview Avenue regardinga residential burglary report. An investigation revealed the suspect(s) enteredthe open garage and stole the victim’s handgun. There are no investigativeleads as of the date of this report.

At 3:12 p.m., anofficer responded to 88 Beef Noodle, located at 1045 S. Baldwin Ave., regardinga drunken subject. The officer located the subject and determined he was unableto care for himself. The 35-year-old male from Duarte was arrested and transportedto the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Oct. 20

At 11:29 a.m., officersresponded to a residence in the 600 block of West Camino Real Avenue regardinga possible burglary in progress. An investigation revealed the unknownsuspect(s) entered the home by breaking a second-story window. The suspect(s)had ransacked the home but fled emptyhanded as the house did not containanything of value. The investigation is pending a review of additional surveillancefootage.

At 8:53 p.m., anofficer responded to the area of Foothill Boulevard and Santa Anita Avenueregarding a vandalism report. A witness stated she saw the suspect tipping overtrash cans and breaking residential mailboxes for no apparent reason. Thesuspect was located and the 42-year-old male from Fullerton was arrested andtransported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Oct. 21

At 9:19 a.m.,officers responded to Extended Stay, located at 401 E. Santa Clara St.,regarding a battery report. An investigation revealed there had been a domesticdispute between the suspect and his ex-fiancée. During the investigation of thedispute, the suspect attempted to flee. The 30-year-old male from Rosemead wasultimately arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

At 3:19 p.m., anofficer responded to Savers Thrift Store, located at 16 E. Live Oak Ave.,regarding a vehicle burglary report. The victim discovered her vehicle’s windowhad been smashed and her lunch bag had been stolen. There is no suspectinformation at this time.

Oct. 22

At 12:47 a.m., officersresponded to Rod’s Grill, located at 41 W. Huntington Drive, regarding acommercial burglary in progress. Officers determined unknown suspect(s)shattered a side window, entered the restaurant, and fled with an unknownamount of property.  There are noinvestigative leads as of the date of this report.

At 8:54 p.m., anofficer responded to the 700 block of Sunset Boulevard regarding a bicycletheft. The victim stated her unsecured bicycle was stolen from the second storybalcony. The incident was not captured by surveillance cameras.

Oct. 23

At 2:17 p.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a fraud incident that occurred at Ralphs, located at 211 E. Foothill Blvd. on Oct. 2. The victim discovered a fraudulent transaction was made on her debit card in the amount of $294.15. The victim does not know how the suspect obtained her personal information.

At 10:27 p.m.,officers responded to an audible alarm activation at Fika Fika, located at 1127W. Huntington Drive. Surveillance footage revealed a male suspect shattered thefront glass window and fled with the cash register and various other items. Anarea check was conducted and a suspect matching the description was located nearby.The 23-year-old male transient from Marion, Indiana was arrested andtransported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Oct. 24

At 10:33 a.m., anofficer responded to a residence in the 1200 block of South Ninth Avenueregarding a suspicious subject seen loitering around a residence. Surveillancefootage revealed the suspect checked the doors to the property but fled beforeentering the home. The suspect is described as Hispanic with a thin build, in his/hermid-30s, with short curly hair, and was seen wearing a green hat, silvernecklace, black jacket with patches, and a blue dress. The investigation isongoing.

At 7:36 p.m., an officerresponded to The Derby, located at 233 E. Huntington Drive, regarding a batteryreport. An investigation revealed an argument between a male and femaleescalated when the female suspect pushed and punched the male victim. Thevictim sustained visible injuries. The 20-year-old female from Covina wasarrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
