Arcadia Public Library is offering three fun, free experiences for kids of all ages during October.

Starting on Oct. 3, Arcadia Public Library is hosting the annual In-N-Out “Cover to Cover Club.” It’s a bit different this year, but children ages 4 to 12 can register for the program which lets them earn a coupon for a free In-N-Out hamburger, cheeseburger, or cheese sandwich just by reading five books. Each child may earn up to three coupons during the program, which ends on Saturday, Nov. 14. This year, however, kids will log their book titles online using the Library’s “Cover to Cover Club” database. Coupons are earned upon reading and logging five, 10, or 15 titles. Coupons will be available for pick-up by appointment only starting Monday, Oct. 12. For social distancing purposes, only one appointment can be scheduled per family and all earned coupons must be picked up at the same time. To schedule an appointment, call (626) 294-4834.

Crafty kids (sixth to eighth graders) are invited to try the new “Stitching Together” program, starting on Wednesday, Oct. 7, and continuing every Wednesday at 4 p.m. through Oct. 28. This program is perfect for middle schoolers who want to learn to knit. This month’s project is a pair of fingerless gloves. Registration is required, call (626) 821-5566 to sign up.

What’s Halloween without fun crafts to try in the weeks before trick or treat? Creepy Crawly Crafternoons, a virtual program for kids of all ages, takes place on Saturdays at 3 p.m. starting Oct. 10. Kids will earn how to make some creepy creations just in time for Halloween. A limited supply of free craft kits will be available for each program. Contact the Children’s Help Desk at (626) 821-5566 for more information.
