

Approximately 44,393 acres have been charred and containment is at 3% as of Wednesday morning. Containment was at 6%, but flare-ups on Monday caused crews to lose ground. The heavy smoke and ash has prompted not only severe health warnings but also prevented firefighting aircraft from flying.
