At 10:48 p.m., an officer responded to the parking lot of Westfield Santa Anita, 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a male subject asleep in his car, refusing to leave. Upon contacting the 55-year-old male from Monrovia, the officer noticed symptoms of alcohol intoxication and determined the subject was unable to care for himself. He was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Sept. 7
At 10:27 a.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Fairview Avenue, regarding the report of a female lying on the ground. Officers contacted the female who displayed symptoms of alcohol intoxication. The officers determined that she was unable to care for herself. The 49-year-old female from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At 12:19 p.m., officers responded to the area of Sunset Boulevard and Fairview Avenue regarding a domestic dispute. The suspect and his domestic partner had been arguing about their relationship when the suspect sprayed the victim with pepper spray. The 22-year-old male from San Gabriel was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At 11:23 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for committing unsafe lane changes near the intersection of Baldwin Avenue and Duarte Road. The officer contacted the driver and discovered that he had been driving with an expired driver’s license. Further investigation revealed the driver was in possession of stolen bank account information and personal identifying information belonging to multiple victims. The 41-year-old male from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At 11:29 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 2300 block of South Second Avenue regarding the report of several gunshots heard in the area. The resident heard the shots and located a bullet hole in her window. No one was injured. No suspects were seen, and no witnesses were located. The investigation is ongoing.
Sept. 8
At 06:00 a.m., an officer responded to Brandon’s Landscape, 40 E. Foothill Blvd., regarding a burglary report. Unknown suspects forced entry into locked storage containers and stole over $15,000 worth of landscaping equipment. It was also discovered that a catalytic converter was stolen from a commercial truck. The investigation is ongoing.
At 7:11 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Ellen Way regarding a fraud report. The elderly victim received a telephone call from an unknown suspect who claimed to be a public defender for her grandson. He claimed that her grandson had been arrested, then requested $9,500 to bail him out. The victim agreed to pay, the suspect drove to the victim’s home, where he retrieved the money and left. Shortly after the report was made to the police department, the suspect called the victim requesting more money. He arrived at her home to retrieve the money and officers apprehended him. The 25-year-old male from Irvine was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Sept. 9
At 9:31 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 2100 block of Canyon Road regarding a theft report. The victim claimed his car key was stolen by his roommate. An investigation revealed the roommate was upset because the victim had not paid his rent in several months and he refused to leave. The key was located and returned to the victim. The 51-year-old female from Arcadia was issued a citation.
Sept. 10
At 6:27 a.m., officers responded to Arcadia Chinese Baptist Church, 100 W. Duarte Road, regarding a male subject seen trespassing at the location. Officers contacted the subject who was found sleeping behind the building. The 41-year-old male from Pasadena was issued a citation.
At 11:45 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 2400 block of South Sixth Avenue regarding a burglary. Unknown suspects forced entry into the home by smashing a bathroom window. The suspects left the location and returned in a truck to steal a horse trailer. The investigation is ongoing.
Sept. 11
At 2:15 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 300 block of Santa Rosa Road regarding a male subject seen in the rear yard. The subject ran off after he realized that he had been seen by the resident. Officers located the subject and discovered that he was in possession of heroin, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. The subject also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The 29-year-old male from El Monte was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Sept. 12
At 2:52 a.m., an officer responded to the Residence Inn, 321 E. Huntington Drive, regarding a male subject sleeping in a vehicle. The officer contacted the subject and noticed drugs in plain sight, inside of the vehicle. The subject was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The 36-year-old male from La Verne was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At 7:34 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration, near the intersection of Huntington Drive and Gateway Drive. An investigation revealed the driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The 32-year-old male from Victorville was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
At 3:52 p.m., an officer responded to Macy’s, 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a shoplifting report. A loss prevention specialist witnessed the suspect conceal numerous items inside her handbag before exiting the store without paying. The 60-year-old female from San Gabriel was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
