At 7:36 a.m., an officer responded to ExtendedStay, located at 401 E. Santa Clara St., regarding a grand theft report. Theofficer discovered the victim’s ex-husband fled with her purse and gold chainafter a verbal dispute. The suspect, a 28-year-old male from Pasadena, isoutstanding as of June 9.

At 8:28 a.m., an officerresponded to Nice Guy Tattoo, located at 602 E. Live Oak Ave., regarding acommercial burglary report. The victim discovered that sometime during theprevious night, unknown suspect(s) smashed the front glass door, opened a fewdrawers, but ultimately left empty-handed. The investigation is pending areview of a neighboring business’s surveillance footage.

June1

At 5:40 a.m., an officer responded to the 900block of Palo Alto Drive regarding a vandalism report. The victim stated shewitnessed the suspect use a metal object, possibly a tire iron, to smash herdriver’s side window. The suspect is described as a black male in his twenties,with a thin build, and he was seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and ablack backpack. The victim was not desirous of prosecution.

At 11:01 p.m., an officer responded to aresidence in the 1000 block of Fairview Avenue regarding a battery report. Averbal argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend turned physical resulting inthe male suspect hitting the female victim on the right side of her face withthe back of his hand. The suspect, a 31-year-old male from Arcadia, fled beforeofficers arrived. The suspect is outstanding as of June 9th.  

June2

At 9:05 a.m., an officer responded to aresidence in the 2600 block of Louise Avenue regarding a vehicle burglaryreport. The officer discovered sometime between May 27 and June 2, a suspectentered the victim’s vehicle by unknown means, ransacked the interior, andstole $25 cash. There is no suspect information at this time.

June3

At 9:03 a.m., an officer responded to the 600block of West Orange Grove Road regarding a mail theft report. The reporting partylocated mail left in the parking lot of Orange Grove Park. Upon contacting themail theft victims, two of the victims could not supply any surveillancefootage and Arcadia PD is awaiting contact with the third victim. Theinvestigation is ongoing.

At 6:28 p.m., an officer responded to Vons,located at 745 W. Naomi Ave., regarding a battery report. An investigationrevealed the victim, a store employee, was advising potential customers thatthe store was closed when a pedestrian battered him. The suspect, described asa white male in his 50s with gray hair and a large build, struck the victimwith an open palm across the victim’s jaw. The investigation is ongoing.

June4

At 3:17 p.m., an officer responded to the 00block of East Longden Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle report. The victimstated his Chevrolet Astro Van was stolen between 2:30 and 2:45 p.m. Thevehicle contained gardening equipment. The vehicle was recovered later in theday near the intersection of Louise Avenue and Camino Real Avenue with theaforementioned property. There is no suspect information at this time.

At 11:19 p.m., an officerresponded to Home Liquor, located at 502 ½ E. Live Oak Ave., regarding acommercial burglary report. The reporting party witnessed two suspects cut thepower to the business complex and return to their vehicle. An officer located asimilar vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. As the officer parked andapproached the vehicle, the vehicle then fled and turned off all of theexterior lights. The officer attempted to catch up to the vehicle, but wasunsuccessful. Another officer responded to the business complex and discoveredthat unknown suspect(s) smashed the front glass door to Home Liquor, they moveda bottle of liquor, and the officer located several cut locks near the electricalpanel. The vehicle seen fleeing the location was described as a black GMCYukon. The investigation is ongoing.

June5

At 4:07 a.m., an officer witnessed a vehiclecollide with the center median in the area of Huntington Drive and La CadenaAvenue. Responding officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.The driver parked her vehicle and exited. Upon contacting the driver, theofficer noticed her speech was slurred and her eyes were bloodshot and watery.When asked if there was anything illegal inside the car, the victim admittedthat she had a methamphetamine pipe in her purse and she continued to admit shehad smoked marijuana several hours ago. Through a series of tests, the officerdetermined the 41-year-old female from Los Angeles was under the influence ofdrugs and alcohol. During an inventory of the vehicle, the officer located personalidentifiable information of numerous victims, as well as other evidence of identitytheft. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail forbooking.

At 9:47 a.m., an officerresponded to a dental office, located at 500 N. First St., regarding acommercial burglary report. The investigation revealed that on the evening ofJune 3, unknown suspect(s) used a pry tool to break into the electrical closetof the building. The suspects then cracked a small glass window. They alsoattempted to pry open the door and damaged the door jam. No loss was reported.There is no suspect information at this time.

At 6:50 p.m., an officer responded to a parkinglot in the 900 block of South Baldwin Avenue regarding a vehicle burglaryreport. Sometime between 6:35 and 6:50 p.m. on June 5, an unknown suspectsmashed a rear passenger window and stole the victim’s laptop and computer bag.The investigation is pending a review of the surveillance footage.

June6

At 6:07 a.m., an officer responded to the 1200block of South Golden West Avenue regarding a mail theft report. The officerdiscovered a resident’s mail had been left scattered on the ground. The mailboxdid not show any signs of forced entry, and there is no suspect information atthis time.

At 11:28 a.m., an officer responded to Denny’s,located at 7 E. Huntington Drive, regarding a theft investigation. Aninvestigation revealed a male suspect accused an elderly victim that the victimhad driven his car over the suspect’s foot. As the victim gave the suspect hiswallet and identification in an effort to exchange information, the suspectstole $60 cash from the victim’s wallet. Additional officers located a possiblesuspect but the victim was unable to positively identify him. The suspect isdescribed as a white male with dark hair, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall,145 pounds, and he was seen wearing a “golf” jacket.
