April19

At 10:28 a.m., an officer responded to the 500block of East Live Oak Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle report. On April 18 at7 p.m., the victim parked his friend’s motorcycle on the street. When thevictim returned at 10 a.m. on April 19, the victim noticed the motorcycle hadbeen stolen. No suspects were seen or heard.

April20

At 9:15 a.m., an officerresponded to 24 Hour Fitness, located at 125 N. First Ave., regarding avandalism report. The officer discovered someone had smashed both front glassdoors. Though it appeared the suspect had not entered the business afterbreaking the glass doors, a further review of video that captured the incidentis currently underway.

At 9:27 a.m., an officer responded to the 11700block of Clark Street regarding an investigation involving a recovered trailer,a stolen trailer, and stolen property. Surveillance footage revealed three to fourmales arrived at the location in a Chevrolet Tahoe that was towing a trailer.The suspects disconnected the trailer they brought with them, attached thevictim’s trailer to their Tahoe, and then fled with the trailer that containedconstruction equipment and supplies. The trailer the suspects left behind hadbeen reported stolen out of Pasadena.  Theinvestigation is ongoing.

At 10:45 a.m., officers responded to Spring HillSuites by Marriott, located at 99 N. Second Ave., regarding a fraud report. Aninvestigation revealed one suspect rented two rooms using the same fraudulentcredit card. The officers contacted three subjects in one of the rooms andlocated drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine. One of the three subjects, a33-year-old female from Covina, stated the illegal items belonged to her. Thefemale suspect was arrested and cited for the drug offenses. The officers thenentered the second hotel room and located another suspect who they determinedhad used the fraudulent credit card to pay for the hotel rooms. The subject, a34-year-old male from San Dimas, had various medical conditions that warrantedrelease prior to booking, and formal charges against the subject are pendingreview by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

April21

At 6:41 p.m., an officer responded to 101 NoodleExpress, located at 1025 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a commercial burglaryreport. The victim left and locked and secured the business on Monday, April 20,around 8 a.m. Upon returning on Tuesday, April 21, at approximately 6:30 p.m.,the victim noticed two registers, two computers, cash, and miscellaneous fooditems had been stolen. There were no signs of forced entry. The victim wasunable to access the surveillance footage at the time of the report. Theofficer located additional cameras from neighboring businesses but was unableto make contact with them. The investigation is ongoing. 

April22

At 2:43 p.m., an officer took a telephonicreport of a grand theft from Westfield Santa Anita, located at 400 S. BaldwinAve. Sometime between April 16, at 4 p.m., and April 20, at 10 a.m., suspect(s)stole an unsecured pressure washer from the valet parking garage. Mall securityis reviewing their surveillance footage for any suspect information.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., a resident in the1000 block of Rancho Road heard a loud bang outside, and then tires screeching.The resident looked outside and saw a grey Ford Mustang driving north, awayfrom his residence. The resident then discovered his vehicle had been brokeninto. One of the items stolen during the vehicle burglary was a wallet containingvarious credit and debit cards, along with $75 cash. The investigation isongoing.   

April23

At 5:25 a.m., an officer responded to theintersection of Huntington Drive and Second Avenue regarding a possible drunkdriver in the area. A witness reportedly saw a vehicle hit the center mediantwice, and stated there was a trash can stuck under the vehicle. Respondingofficers located the vehicle in question, conducted field sobriety tests on thedriver, and arrested a 29-year-old female from Northridge for driving whileintoxicated. The female driver was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospitalfor further testing, and was eventually arrested and cited for Driving Underthe Influence of Drugs.

At 6:34 a.m., an officer responded to Brandon’sLandscape, located at 40 E. Foothill Blvd., regarding a commercial burglary investigation.The investigation revealed unknown suspects pried open a locked trailer and fledwith miscellaneous landscaping items. The suspect(s) also pried open threepickup truck metal tool boxes, but nothing was reported missing from them. Thereis no suspect information as the time of this report.

Shortly after 7:41 a.m., an officer responded to1A Fitness, located at 35 South First Avenue, regarding a commercial burglaryreport. Surveillance footage revealed a single male suspect was seen inside thebusiness at 2:52 a.m. on April 23rd stealing various pieces of exerciseequipment, and exiting through the back door. Additional surveillance footageindicated another subject entered the location a short time later at 5:47 a.m.,but did not appear to steal anything. The officer determined the first suspectentered the business by smashing the front glass door. Blood droplets werelocated and taken as evidence for further processing from inside the locationand on a piece of glass. The investigation is ongoing.  

April24

At 1:43 p.m., an officer responded to the 800block of West Duarte Road regarding a mail theft report. The officer determinedan unidentified suspect damaged multiple mailbox locks, and fled with anunknown amount of mail. The investigation is ongoing.

April25

At 3:46 p.m., an officer responded to Vons,located at 745 W. Naomi Ave., regarding a robbery report. An investigationrevealed four suspects stole various food items from the store and, when theloss prevention employee attempted to stop them, one of the suspects pushed theemployee to get away with the property. The four suspects are described as twoHispanic males and two Hispanic females. The suspect who pushed the employee isdescribed as a Hispanic male, between the ages of 25 and 30, with brown hairand eyes, and was seen wearing a white t-shirt, light blue jeans, and whiteshoes. All four suspects fled in a green Kia Sedona. The incident was capturedon surveillance footage. The investigation is ongoing. 

At 4:49 p.m., the Arcadia Police Departmentreceived an electronically submitted report of mail theft that occurred in the1800 block of South Santa Anita Avenue. Surveillance footage revealed a malesuspect stole the victim’s outgoing mail from her mailbox. The suspect isdescribed as a light-skinned male, approximately 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11, and waswearing a dark-colored shirt, light-colored shorts, and a white hat.
