This Friday, April 10, starting at 10 a.m., Monrovia UnifiedSchool District (MUSD) teachers will be on parade, driving through thecommunity honking and waving to their students. The teachers themselvescame up with the idea.

The district has come up with a few simple safetydirections. They urge all parents and students to remain in their ownyards or doorways. They urge everyone to practice social distancing ifthey encounter someone else outdoors. Wear a mask when outside. Makea sign to show your support for the teachers.

The district has been divided up into five areas corresponding tothe five elementary schools. Some of the teachers at Monrovia High Schoolwill join each parade. Teachers from Clifton will participate in theMayflower, Bradoaks and Wild Rose parades. The Monroe, Plymouth and againthe Wild Rose parades will include some teachers from Santa Fe. Teachersfrom the Childhood Early Learning Center will parade with Wild Rose. Pleasebe aware that the teachers will not be able to travel down every street.

On Friday when you hear he horns, put on your mask and stepoutside to show the teachers that you appreciate what they are doing.
