The Towne Singers present “Joyful Tidings – The Season’s Best” as their 2019 holiday concert at 7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church (500 E. Colorado Blvd. – Pasadena).  This musical celebration includes a blend of beautiful, lively, and traditional favorites such as:  The Polar Express, Sleigh Ride, The First Noel, White Christmas, and the Hallelujah Chorus, to name a few.  The 90-member choir under the direction of Lance Merrill, accompanied by Ben Mason, and an orchestral ensemble will help start the holiday season with The Grinch, to stir up some trouble; and Santa, to welcome the children to the Holiday Sing-A-Long. Dec. 6

Holiday Sing Along in Old Town at 8:15 p.m. (400 block of Myrtle Avenue). There will be holding a Holiday Sing Along for carolers young and old, musically gifted and tone-deaf. All are welcome. Come for the tunes, and stroll along Myrtle afterwards for shopping and dessert. The sing along will be taking place on the 400 block of Myrtle Avenue on Friday, Dec. 6 at 8:15 p.m. For more information, click here.

Dec. 7

Old Pasadena Food Tasting Tour(Stops throughout Old Pasadena). Experience the history, architecture, and folklore of Old Pasadena with Melting Pot Food Tours. Colorful alleys and secret thru-ways spice up the walk as you seek out spectacular ethnic eateries and sweet stuff havens in historic Old Pasadena. Dec. 8

Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides from 3 – 6 p.m. (Old Town Monrovia). To help celebrate this holiday season, horse-drawn wagon rides will be available in on Thursday and Sunday evenings in December.  The wagon rides will be offered on Myrtle Avenue for $5 per person on first-come, first serve basis and is sponsored by the Monrovia Old Town Advisory Board.  For more information click here.

Dec. 9

Arcadia Public Library: Middle Mondays Fun Days from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. at Arcadia Public  library (20 W. Duarte Rd Arcadia CA). Looking for something fun to do with friends after school? Middle schoolers are invited to join us for Monday Fun Days and craft, create, explore, and more. Cost is free. For more information, click here.

Arcadia’s Flourishing Painters at The Gilb Museum of Arcadia Heritage (380 W. Huntington Drive,  Arcadia, CA 91007) from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. All ages are welcome. The cost is free and all you have to do is show up. For more information, click here.
