Pasadena’s two top community leadership development non-profits are showing what true collaborative leadership looks like in their 2019 benefit event. Junior League of Pasadena and Leadership Pasadena are joining together to create a sensational, elegant and innovative table scape design event in November 2019.

“There is a lot of talk about charities collaborating today and we are taking a big step with our friends at Leadership Pasadena. We are eager to partner with them to deliver a fabulous social event for Pasadena that will benefit both of our non-profit organizations,” stated Junior League of Pasadena President Charlotte Miles. “We are excited to model cooperation and innovation in the non-profit community with this entertaining, festive evening at the Pasadena Convention Center!” added Junior League of Pasadena Fundraising Director Lisa Zastrow.

“The World of Conversation” event will celebrate the power and importance of authentic conversation today with exquisite table top displays from top designers from the greater Pasadena community competing for a grand prize.

“Both Junior League of Pasadena and Leadership Pasadena create empowered community leaders who value respectful, civil discourse among people with different opinions. We believe the best solutions come after healthy debate and we want to share our commitment to fostering genuine conversations around the community table—and have a really fun evening too!” explained Leadership Pasadena’s Cindy Bengtson.

“Designers, event planners, home décor studios, non-profits, travel businesses and more are invited to create a dining table display for 8 interpreting the theme ‘The World of Conversation’ and complete to win a full-page color ad in LA Dreams Luxury magazine,” said Leadership Pasadena volunteer Cheri Washington.

Last year Monogrammed Home of San Marino and ArtWORKS Charter school shared the top prize at the first “The Art of Conversation” competition.

“We were honored to participate in Leadership Pasadena’s inaugural event. It was incredible to come together with fellow retailers, organizations, event planners and leaders in the Pasadena area to support such a wonderful organization. The evening sparked conversation and encouraged community and inclusivity, we are thrilled for what’s to come from those conversations,” declared Catie Roheim and Dana Banta, co-owners of The Monogrammed Home.

“Leadership Pasadena launched this event in 2018 and it was a great time for everyone! The designers showed their creative talent to hundreds of new admirers and our sponsors provided a unique, lively and fun event for their clients and friends. This year we are very proud to collaborate with the esteemed Junior League of Pasadena and deliver a bigger and more exciting evening in 2019.  We welcome back Town and Country and Hahn & Hahn as sponsors,” Josh Driskell, Chair of the Board for Leadership Pasadena remarked.
