On March 8, the unveiling the Old Town Memorial Bench in honor of Pam Fitzpatrick will be taking place at 10:30 a.m. in front of the Dollmakers store on Myrtle Ave. Fitzpatrick, born March 8, 1947, served the community of Monrovia through various capacities throughout her lifetime and career in the city. Alongside her family and friends, Fitzpatrick left behind a legacy of leadership.

After opening up a retail store in Downtown Monrovia in the 1990s, Fitzpatrick spent the remainder of her years serving the community as the President of the Monrovia Chamber of Commerce and the Monrovia Old Town Merchants’ Association (1997) and as a Community Services Commissioner. She was also co-chair of the Foothill Unity Center Auxiliary and the President of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Foothills. She lectured on topics regarding business at colleges such as Pasadena City College and the Andrew Jackson School. Her accomplishments earned her the Dick Lord Award and the opportunity to be honored by State Senator Jack Scott and Assemblymembers Carol Liu and Dario Frommer for her extraordinary work as a community volunteer.

Join family, friends, and community members at the unveiling of Fitzpatrick’s Memorial bench to honor Fitzpatrick’s contribution to the city of Monrovia this Friday, March 8.
