Monrovia Chief of Police Alan Sanvictores and Monrovia Fire Chief Brad Dover held a press conference Thursday morning to discuss the “person of interest” in the investigation into at least four fires within the past two days.
The most recent fire was reported around midnight on March 7 on the 800 block of West Walnut Avenue, a tenant told Monrovia Weekly outside the damaged home Thursday morning.

The other fire was confined to a home under construction on Colorado Boulevard, near Monterey.
Monrovia Fire arrived to find the front porch of the home fully engulfed in fire and the tenants managed to get out.
Arson investigators are also looking into whether the fire is connected to two others that crews recently responded to.
