In Tuesday’s midterm election, incumbent Ed Chau won over challenger Burton Brink by 68.85 percent in the 49th District Assembly race. Chris Holden, Adam Schiff and Judy Chu were easily reelected.
Arcadia Weekly reached out to Burton Brink for comment:
“I am truly humbled by all the support and great concerned people I have met during my campaign for California State Assembly.
“My family and I have sacrificed our lives, for over a year, to try and make things better in our community and state.
“What’s ahead for our community and state with the results of this midterm election? Our state will continue to hurt the poor and working people by burdening them with higher debt, higher taxes, and higher crime.
“My heart breaks for us all.”
