Monrovia’s Foothill Unity Center Seeks Volunteers for Thanksgiving
Won’t you please help your neighbors
Foothill Unity Center, Inc. invites the community to help them bring some holiday cheer to low income families in our local communities.
Visit their website at foothillunitycenter.org. Click on “get involved” from the menu bar on the home page, then select “volunteer – Thanksgiving event” to sign in and register to volunteer for their Thanksgiving packing day and/or family distribution events.
A login name and password will be required when registering. If you have forgotten your login name and/or password or need to create a new login name and password instructions are provided in the login window. Organizations must register as an organization and enter the quantity of volunteers for their group. There will be a limited number of volunteers needed for each shift. All volunteers under the age of 14 must have parental supervision.
Foothill Unity needs volunteers for the following Thanksgiving events:
- Friday, Nov. 16 for the pre-set up day at the Los Angeles County Arboretum.
- Saturday, Nov. 17 for the packing day in Ayers Hall at the Los Angeles Arboretum.
- Monday, Nov. 19 for the large family distribution in Ayers Hall at the Los Angeles Arboretum.
- Tuesday, Nov. 20 for the small family distribution at centers in Pasadena and Monrovia.
The center is also in need of volunteer drivers to deliver food boxes to homebound clients in the Pasadena area on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the months of November and December. Contact Sal Villasenor and Ben Byers at sal@foothillunitycenter.org and ben@foothillunitycenter.org if you are available.
