The Monrovia Historic Preservation Group will host a walking tour of downtown Monrovia on Oct. 6 at 10 a.m. For the cost of $5, no RSVP required, you can learn about the early history of Monrovia, how the area was settled, and how it came to be a desirable community in which to live. The tours last approximately two hours and meet at southeast corner of Palm and Myrtle avenues.

It is advisable that you wear comfortable clothing and shoes as the tour will cover approximately eight city blocks, from Palm to Olive and back.
