Back by popular demand, actress Kres Mersky will present a moving portrait of famous dancer Isadora Duncan on Saturday, July 21 at 3 p.m. in the Sierra Madre Public Library.
A native Californian, Duncan performed to acclaim throughout Europe in the late 1890s and early 1920s. A free spirit and free thinker, she was dedicated to interpretive dance.
This production is adapted from Duncan’s own writing and provides a multi-dimensional portrait of the mother of modern dance.
Actress Mersky’s successful previous performance as Albert Einstein’s secretary filled the Library.
The Library is located at 440 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. For more information call (626) 355-7186, text (626) 662-1254, or visit cityofsierramadre.com/services/library.
