Alhambra Man Arrested in Pasadena Hit and Run Fatality Last Month

The Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team responded to investigate a major hit and run accident collision last month at Colorado and Sierra Madre Blvd.

That hit and run resulted in one death.

As a result of extensive follow-up investigations, the suspect (who fled the scene) was identified as 34 year-old Los Angeles resident Robert Ybarra and was located at a relative’s home in the City of Alhambra.

Ybarra sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to a local hospital for treatment where he remained for several days. Upon his release from the hospital, Ybarra was booked and charged with Gross Vehicular Manslaughter, Felony Hit & Run as well as Driving Under the Influence.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and confirmation by Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office personnel.
