Arguably the hottest team on campus, Arcadia boys’ tennis has shown no signs of slowing down since its first official season in 2014.

Head Coach Damon Lieu and assistant Ruth Lagace have implemented a perpetual sense of prestige and bravura into the school’s program. Not only do the Apaches continue to surpass expectations, but they also do it with flying colors.

This year, the Apaches have steamrolled their way to an 8-0 start, which is two wins shy of matching last season’s 10-0 start. Their best start in history was in 2015 when the team went 21-0 until they were finally brought down to earth by San Clemente in the CIFSS Division II Semi-Finals.

What’s even more impressive is that nearly all of Arcadia’s victories this season have been shutouts. The only game that wasn’t a complete blanking was the Apaches’ 16-2 win over the Arroyo Knights.

Despite its prolonged dominance, Arcadia was upended in 2017’s CIFSS Division II Quarterfinals against an equally formidable San Marino squad. However, the Apaches now have their sights set for a return to the CIFSS Championship since they last won in 2016.
