It’s like the old saying goes, “All good things must come to an end.” However, there is also no denying that South Pasadena girls’ soccer can walk away from this season with its head help up high.

In what was one of their most memorable seasons in team history, the Tigers of South Pasadena were sensational from start to finish. The team raised many eyebrows during this year’s campaign, going 22-4-2 overall and claiming the Rio Hondo League crown with a 6-1-1 record.

The Tigers’ biggest margin of victory this season came in an 11-0 thrashing of Marshall High School while their longest undefeated streak lasted 13 games.

In the CIF Division 5 Southern Section Playoffs, South Pas steamrolled its way through the first three rounds before meeting up with Los Amigos in the finals. Despite the highly anticipated match-up, the Tigers made light work of Los Amigos en route to a 4-0 win for the elusive CIF title.

Having already captured a championship, the Tigers then moved on to play in the CIF Southern California Regionals where they beat Westminster 1-0 and Marquez 4-0 in the first two rounds. Unfortunately for South Pas, its dream season finally came to a close after falling to Ventura 3-0 in last week’s Regional Semi-Finals.
