The Arcadia Apaches girls basketball team had a weird season.  They began the season on fire, took a nosedive midseason, and then recovered enough to finish in respectable fashion.

The Apaches cruised through the early season November games with ease.  They crushed the Monrovia Wildcats in the season opener by 62 points and then went on to dispatch five of their next six opponents, as well.

Then things turned.  On December 14, AHS lost to Upland High School, and the season went in the tank.  Arcadia lost five of six, got back on the winning side by crushing Hoover, but then lost five more consecutively.  To the credit of the players and coaching staff, Arcadia finished the season by winning four of their final six games.  Their overall record was just 12-13 and they finished fifth in Pacific League standings.

Sahana Saikumar led the team in scoring.  Mychayl Phillips was the top rebounder.  Ashley Sue led the team in assists.  All will be back in 2018-2019.
