Supervisor Antonovich joined Library Director Skye Patrick and residents of the surrounding communities to announce the future home of the Live Oak Library Wednesday morning.
The Live Oak Library will receive a new home after 70 years at its current location. The growth of the community has surpassed the library’s capacity and space. The Board of Supervisors has allocated $9 million to open the new library which will serve the needs of unincorporated area and surrounding communities. The library will more than double in size, moving from a 2,891 square foot facility to 7,740 square feet, and feature state-of-the-art amenities for customers of all ages.
