The Pasadena Village invites the public to the Annual Meeting on June 26, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Dining Commons at Polytechnic School, 1030 E. California Blvd., Pasadena.

The Annual Meeting is an opportunity for the over 130 members to come together and celebrate the continuing successes and growth of the Village over the past year. Highlighted will be the newly installed Hearing Loop in the community room, which will benefit our hearing impaired members by interacting with individuals’ T-coil devices to provide a heightened sense of hearing, thus eliminating the need for headphone devices. The Pasadena Village is one of only a few locations in San Gabriel Valley that provides this technology.

In addition, committee chairs will report on their activities during the past year, with special recognition of the Staying Connected Program, which was developed in 2013 and has served members via monthly phone calls and home visits from a dedicated group of volunteers who offer help from the Village as needed, and provide warm, friendly conversation.

The mission of the Pasadena Village is to connect people aged 55-and-over to programs and services which will enable its members to enjoy safe, healthy, satisfying, and fruitful lives while remaining in their homes.

To accomplish this mission, the Pasadena Village coordinates and facilitates a wide variety of public and private services available for the aging and infirm individuals in the community. These services may include education, health and wellness services, transportation, nutrition and meals, social and cultural engagement, financial and legal services, fitness and recreation, home maintenance, pet care, as well as other identified needs of this population.

RSVP for the Annual Meeting by calling (626) 765-6037 or emailing lina@pasadenavillage.org.
