Having something made in your name is one way to preserve your legacy, but having that item be sustainably made will guarantee your preservation.
LA-based dress designer/model Christy Dawn and her friend, actress/model Emily Ratajkowski are channeling their eco-conscious girl-power into the world with THE EMILY DRESS.
“I’ve always been interested in designing and creating clothes for women by women that are unique and flattering. Teaming up with Christy, an amazing friend, mother and entrepreneur, was an ideal situation.” says Ratajkowski.
25% of the sales proceeds are going to Planned Parenthood, as the two jointly “value the impact of our social and environmental footprint.” (- Christy). The dresses are made of deadstock fabric to minimize the environmental footprint, and instead of mass producing the pieces, they are sewing a limited number.
EMILY will be on sale beginning December 7th for $250 online and in the CHRISTY DAWN store located in Venice, CA (1930 Lincoln Blvd, Venice, CA 90291 — hurry on over right then, as there will only be about 75 dresses made, in 5 color options.
