Try something different, yet familiar: Sāmbār, Culver City’s latest Indian food concept has a lamb burger that melts in your mouth. The new inspiration helmed by chef Akasha Richmond—yes, she’s the gal behind her namesake spot AKASHA just down the road—sits right in the heart of Culver City’s bustling downtown block.
For some backstory bylines: Richmond spent time on an ashram in India and her pivotal travels through the region and caught some wind with bringing the flavor to us Angelenos in both concepts. Although there’s Indian food reigning the menu with regional Indian flair, salads and the mouth-watering lamb burgers are key highlights as a safe support items. If you’re feeling wild, get to chomping on their Samosas.
