Formerly home to MJ’s Bar—the iconic gay bar that has been holding down the neighborhood for years—New Tenants of the Trees is slowly blossoming its take over, and it looks like three different spots in one. The rustic and vintage building (it’s been around since the ’40s) has now been completely revamped with one spot called Out of Order—this is their music venue which is home to a small stage for intimate live sets. There’s also a cocktail bar wrapped up in wood and a patio retreat in the back of the space. A puzzle, perhaps. We’re intrigued.

The third part of the space goes by Concession which will be host to an outdoor theater and with “curated rotational guest chefs” that will showcase some of their casual small-bites.

At the moment, there is still and August unveiling for the new ‘three spaces in one’, though it may appear some soft opening movements might be amidst. Do a drive by if you’re in the ‘hood,
