MAFA ‘Celebrate the Arts’ Presents ‘A Collage of Talent’

52nd Annual 2-Day Art Show and ChalkFest in Library Park, Monrovia

“Celebrate the Arts” is a free community event September 26 and 27, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., sponsored by The Monrovia Association of Fine Arts, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, featuring dozens of local artists in beautiful Monrovia Library Park. We are still accepting artist applications – please contact Christine@monroviafinearts.org.

The event will include:

-Featured artist Elizabeth Butterfield, collage artist: www.elizabethbutterfield.com.

-Fine Art display, sale, and demonstrations from MAFA member artists in many media.

-Monrovia’s first ever ChalkFest with cash prizes in front of the library.

-Student / Youth Art and Demonstrations: Monrovia High School (MHS) Ceramics/Sculpture thanks to Sal Perez, MHS Art Teacher; and MHS Student Fine and Urban Art thanks to Katie Gundersen, MAFA Board.

-Local Non-profit groups: Monrovia Garden Club, Monrovia Rock Hounds, and Monrovia Historic Preservation Group.

-A Silent Auction & Raffle to support the arts in Monrovia and throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

-A food court featuring a variety of foods.

Entertainment will include: Min W Dance, The Locke Brothers, When Pigs Fly, Wild Mountain Mystics, and Tim Tedrow.

MAFA’s Mission: Enhance the lives of those within our community through interaction with the arts.

Increase the opportunities of our children through art education.
