Join family, friends and neighbors for the 21st annual Family Fun Day and Resource Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015, at La Pintoresca Park, 45 E. Washington Blvd. The free event features adrenaline-pumping activities that encourage an active, healthy lifestyle.
Attendees can participate in fitness zone challenges and a basketball tournament, show off their skating skills and play at the park’s water splash pad. They can also enjoy live entertainment, for-purchase food, face painting, arts and crafts, balloon bounces and much more at the event produced by the City’s Human Services and Recreation Department.
Many other City departments will be at the event to showcase some of Pasadena’s best resources with information on recreation, libraries and low- or no-cost nonprofit services available to residents.
“Family Fun Day is an opportunity for Pasadena residents to come together as friends and neighbors to enjoy exciting activities and reinforce neighborhood connections,” said Mercy Santoro, Director of the Human Services and Recreation Department.
“People will experience firsthand how parks, libraries and nonprofit organizations improve quality of life in Pasadena.”
In addition to the City, event sponsors include the Armory Center for the Arts and the Alkebu-lan Cultural Center.
