On Sunday, May 17th Monrovia celebrates its 129th birthday with a free live music festival. The 2nd Annual  Monrovia Days Music Festival, from 12:00 to 7:30 pm, aims to entertain people of all ages. There will be live music featuring The Delgado Brothers, The Whistling Diva, 4Peace Too, Smokey Miles, Spero Anthony, Stitch Jones, Island Pulse and more. Live rock, blues, Latin, jazz, acoustic, folk and original music will be playing all day in front of the Library Park Memorial Fountain.

There will be fun for the entire family including food trucks, kids’ activities, jumpers, SPCA pet adoptions, and local vendors featuring jewelry, vintage goods and other retail items. Attendees are invited to pack chairs and blankets and join the community in this new tradition. Additionally, there will be an opportunity drawing to win an Epiphone Guitar signed by The Delgado Brothers.

Local salon owner [Studio C] and world champion musical whistler, Carole Anne Kaufman (a.k.a. the Whistling Diva.com) is producer and sponsor of the popular music festival. In 2014, Carole discovered that there were no plans to produce an event for Monrovia Days and took it upon herself to bring musicians and local vendors together for the city’s annual celebration in a triumphant event.

This year’s local sponsors include Studio C Hair Artistry, Dave and Busters, Old Town Pizza, The Wizard of Bras, Resistor Records, L.A. Partyworks and Monrovia Schools Foundation.

Information about attending, vending and volunteering at the Monrovia Days Music Festival can be found at Facebook.com/monroviadays, MonroviaDaysMusicFestival.com, Facebook Event Page and by following #MonroviaDays. The event will be held at Library Park, 321 S. Myrtle Ave. Monrovia, California on Sunday, May 17th from 12:00 – 7:30pm.
