The short rain fall did not deter the hundreds of people who attended Mayor Bogaard Appreciation Day on Sat at City Hall.
In fact, someone quipped that as the Mayor’s last act in office, Mayor Bogaard ended the drought!

The Day, albeit with a brief spot of rain, was a huge success and a lot of fun for all _ Especially the music which featured Chris Pierce singing the anthem of the Day pleading Mayor Bogaard to: “Please…….won’t you stay a little longer…please”

Saturday’s event honoring Mayor Bill Bogaard for his 16 years of service saw hundreds turn out in light rain at City Hall to show their appreciation for the city’s longest running mayor in history.
Inside the rotunda people lined up to personally thank the Mayor and get a photo taken.
Mayor Bogaard retires as the City’s top elected official on May 4, 2015, when the new mayor is officially sworn in. He became Pasadena’s first citywide-elected Mayor in 1999,
Bogaard was presented with a special box with letters, notes and pictures dropped off by residents and assembled by the Pasadena Public Library called “Moments With Bill.” A special Facebook page has been established at www.facebook.com/momentswithbill.
