Man Shot as He Collected Recyclables in Monrovia

At about 1 a.m. last Friday morning in the 2400 block of Myrtle Avenue in Monrovia, a man was collecting recyclables from trash cans when another man approached and shot him.

The suspect was last seen walking northbound on Myrtle Avenue. He was described as a white man in his 40s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He wore a brown jacket and brown or black pants. The victim was treated at a local hospital. No other details were immediately available.
