The public is invited to provide comments and other input at two community meetings as the City prepares for a nationwide recruitment of a new Chief for the Pasadena Fire Department. Current Fire Chief Calvin E. Wells plans to retire before December 31, 2014.
Community information and feedback sessions are an important part of the process. The sessions will be hosted by the City Manager’s Office and the Human Resources Department as follows:
Tuesday, June 17, 2014 – 6:30 p.m.
Jackie Robinson Community Center Auditorium
1020 North Fair Oaks Ave.
Wednesday, June 18, 2014 – 1 p.m.
City Hall Council Chamber
100 North Garfield Ave., Second Floor
Community members who cannot attend either session or who would like to submit comments electronically can do so with a short online survey at www.cityofpasadena.net/Fire-Chief-Recruitment. The survey will be available until July 31, 2014.
