Ron Kardashian – The Solutionist
How Ron Kardashian Went from Longing to be on the NFL to Life Coaching NFL Players, among others
By Terry Miller
Last week Beacon Media had the inimitable opportunity to interview a Kardashian, you’ve head of the family, right? But this is Ron Kardashian with whom we spoke Tuesday about life, love and how the average person can change his life in 30 seconds.
Ron Kardashian has a great sense of humor, so much so that that he agreed to an interview with this reporter who really is not terribly well-versed in Life Coaching or even what that term actually means.
In fact, he believes so much in humor being essential in life, like a balanced diet, that one’s ability to laugh and smile has become the foundation, if you will, of his philosophy.
As a‘Life Coach’, Kardashian, who, with a new book out and television reality shows as well as a talk shows pending,is poised to become a media darling but for reasons considerably different from his famous family.
Just what the heck is a ‘Life Coach’ anyway? Kardashian explains it this way. When he started out training with dreams and aspirations to be a major player in the NFL, a curious thing happened. He began giving advice to young NFL players who asked him questions seemingly totally unrelated to football. With a 2 year theology degree under his belt, Kardashian had the passion and desire to help and answer these questions and made the time to explain behavioral mechanics -how the combination of Physical, Mental, Financial, Sprirtual and emotional health will lead to a more fulfilling existence on our planet.
Kardashian is often asked, “How do I enhance my life?” To which he replies: “ Balanced diet of Physical, Mental, Financial, Spiritual and emotional well-being.” Sounds simple, right?
It is. Kardashian says:“ Avoid all Extremes” “ Put the brakes on Brains and emotions…energy focus. Positive thinking will lead to positive actions he explains. Have a plan!
While we were talking I imagined I was speaking with a wise old bearded Zen master. However, Kardashian revealed that in his mere 38 years, a great deal of challenges may have led him to the current path he now follows and helped him grow beyond his chronological years. Through adversity, comes strength. Just like the old adage “ no pain , no gain…” Kardashian is living proof that suffering some hard knocks made him stronger and a better individual.
That path is within all of us he says. “We all have the genetic DNA to succeed.”
He reminds us that everyone needs a plan and exercise. Interval Training is Khardashian’s exercise of choice:My kind of guy…I exercise at various intervals too…like last month and maybe next year.
All kidding aside, what is Interval Training ?It’s not as complicated as you might think. Interval training is simply alternating bursts of intense activity with intervals of lighter activity. Keeping the oxygen flowing and stimulates the muscles among other therapeutic benefits.
Kardashian spends most mornings ( or whenever possible) with reflection and devotion for at least one hour. The solitude and soothing peace helps raise serotonin levels and will elevate your spirits without the aid of the most commonly prescribed drug in America, Prozac, says Kardashian.
Kardashia is also a proponent of 30-second –naps. “ During your commute, turn off the radio…say to yourself ‘ I’m gonna make great decisions today’ and enjoy peace.”
Kardashian brings up an extremely important point – noise pollution. We are so bombarded with talk and music that many become oblivious to its constant strain on our health. According to the EPA “Noise pollution adversely affects the lives of millions of people. Studies have shown that there are direct links between noise and health. Problems related to noise include stress related illnesses, high blood pressure, speech interference, hearing loss, sleep disruption, and lost productivity. Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) is the most common and often discussed health effect, but research has shown that exposure to constant or high levels of noise can cause countless adverse health effects.”
“Sound becomes unwanted when it either interferes with normal activities such as sleeping, conversation, or disrupts or diminishes one’s quality of life. The fact that you can’t see, taste or smell it may help explain why it has not received as much attention as other types of pollution, such as air pollution, or water pollution. The air around us is constantly filled with sounds, yet most of us would probably not say we are surrounded by noise. Though for some, the persistent and escalating sources of sound can often be considered an annoyance. This “annoyance” can have major consequences, primarily to one’s overall health,” this, according to the EPA’s website.
So silence is therapeutic in so many ways. The Tremolos were on to something when they sang “ Silence is Golden” back in the 1960’s. Kardashian advises clients to seek solitude regularly as well as writing down life’s goals, missions and values. The very power of writing your core beliefs and wants down will lead to success, Kardashian says.
Kardashian speaks of the importance of the Medulla Oblongata – I joked that sounded like a Band from the 60’s – but actually he pointed out the significance and importance of medulla oblongata which is a portion of the hind-brain that controls autonomic functions such as breathing, digestion, heart and blood vessel function, swallowing and sneezing. Motor and sensory neurons from the mid-brain and fore-brain travel through the medulla. As a part of the brain-stem, the medulla oblongata helps in the transferring of messages between various parts of the brain and the spinal cord.

“ Put Your Mouth on a Diet…..”

So Kardashian’s theory is based on scientific proof that exercise, proper diet, spititual growth combined with emotional and financial well-being will elevate your daily life and help you fulfill your dreams, whatever they may be.
An advocate for the smile…the simple smile…Kardashian says think happy thoughts, whistle and most of all, “put yor mouth on a diet.” These are defining moments in one’s life when you ask yourself “ what can I create” Kardashian says.
While it may seem obvious to some readers, the plan Kardashian spells out is carefully thought out.
He says “ Be a Hero not a Hater” and have spirituality. Kardashian wants to speard the word not unlike a preacher would with kindness and understand of our differences. “Perhaps then we could have a more peaceful world.”he told Beacon Media.
Kardashian went a step further with us to explain busywork vs. purposeful action and how we need to balance our lives from all aspects and once again Kardashian said “ Avoid all Extremes.”
We asked Kardashianwhat he thought of the generation that is glued to cellphones and the internet.
“Everyone needs a reality check…get real. Turn off the ‘phone and experience nature.” But he was quick to point out that you can turn “information into revelation.”
Whoare Khardashian’s role models/heroes we asked and what has he learned. “ The teachings of Mother Teresa; Ghandi and Lincoln helped with my foundational core beliefs.”
On Amazon.com, one readerhadthis to say about Kardashian’s new book:
“Ron’s book is an easy read that is packed full of really helpful advice! You’ll discover a proven strategy that will empower you to begin to change your life by changing the way that you think. Even if you only apply a small percentage of the wisdom found in the pages of this excellent book, your life will be better for it. I recommend it for anyone who wants to invest into their future. Well done Ron!”
With his solution based approach to big business Kardashian has become rather well well known as “The Solutionist.” RonKardashian iscousin of Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian.
