The Grand-Daddy of All Fireworks Shows
The grand-daddy of all fireworks shows will be held at the Rose Bowl for 2012, with more than 3,000 special effects fireworks being fired from both inside and outside the stadium, making this year’s event the largest fireworks show in Southern California.
The Rose Bowl Americafest 2012 celebration will feature more than one ton of fireworks, more than 3,000 visual effects and more than 1,000 firework shells being aerially launched. The entire fireworks show will be operated by more than 20 pyrotechnicians and will also feature some special 10 inch fireworks shells, the largest fireworks shells used in the Independence Day celebration.
“We wanted to raise the bar this year and really do something special for this year’s 4th of July celebration,” said Darryl Dunn, general manager of the Rose Bowl. “July 4th is a great family event and this year the oohs and aahs will be magnified as the show is going to be incredible, as the Rose Bowl’s tradition as one of the best fireworks shows in the West continues.”
The Rose Bowl event, which is in its 86th year, is the longest running 4th of July show in Southern California. It will be produced by Pyro Spectaculars by Souza, the nation’s leading fireworks entertainment company. Pyro Spectaculars by Souza is a Rialto-California based company that has been family operated for five generations.
