Visitors learn the ways unique pet hospital cares for their four-legged friends on June 24
On Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 1pm – 4pm Huntington Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Gary White DVM and his staff will open the doors to this unique animal care facility for tours and education. The doctor and animal care experts will provide tours and answer questions.
“Most pet owners have no idea what is involved in most medical procedures like surgery,” explains Dr. White. “The level of care pets receive here is on par with what a human patient would expect. Not all animal hospitals maintain and monitor at this level, but we insist on it.” Visitors will learn how Dr White and his staff take extra special care of furry family members. Tours will include full showings of examination rooms, surgery suites, the on-site pharmacy, and diagnostic laboratory.
Experts will be present to discuss pet medication, anesthesia, vital signs monitors, pre- and post-operative care, radiology, ultra-sound, cold laser, wellness plans, dental care, shampoo therapy, and behavior training. The vital importance of vaccines, parasite prevention, and good nutrition will be covered as well.
