Dr. Brent Forsee has been named the new principal for Arcadia High School. The appointment was made at the May 8 Board of Education meeting to a standing-room-only audience anxious to meet the new Arcadia High School educational leader.
Dr. Forsee replaces current AHS principal David Vannasdall who was recently appointed to the District’s Deputy Superintendent position replacing Dr. Robert Leri who took the superintendent position in Tahoe Truckee. Vannasdall has being serving in dual capacity while awaiting the appointment of the new principal.
Dr. Forsee comes to Arcadia from the Los Alamitos Unified School District in Orange County where he is currently a high school principal and the Director of Assessment. He previously was an assistant principal for Glendale Unified School District and a special education teacher for San Diego Unified School District.
Dr. Forsee grew up locally, graduating from Pasadena High School and earning degrees in History and Special Education as well as School Administration from Point Loma Nazarene University. He earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California.
The father of a 14-month old daughter, Dr. Forsee and his wife live in Monrovia.
