Old Pasadena’s hot spot Dog Haus Biergarten is once again at the head of a trend. This time, the Los Angeles Times hailed eatery and bar specializing in gourmet hot dogs, burgers and sausages, is mixing it up with beer.
Officially launching on National Beer Can Day, January 24, 2012, Dog Haus Biergarten will transition from beer bottles to a diverse selection of canned beer. The can and craft beers range from old time American classics such as Pabst Blue Ribbon and Schlitz to more recent blends a la Dales Pale Ale by Oscar Blues Brewing Co. and
Uncommon Brewers Baltic Porter among many others – and are available for an unbelievable $3.00 per can on National Beer Can Day!.

“We felt it extremely appropriate to pay tribute to such an important holiday as National Beer Can Day with $3.00 can beer specials, especially with the launch of our new beer menu,” said Dog Haus Biergarten resident man behind the can and partner Quasim Riaz. “Keeping with the fun vibe at the Biergarten, customers will receive free koozies with their beer cans that read Dog Haus Biergarten on one side and “Nice Cans” on the other.”
Completing the pack of new canned beer offerings at Dog Haus Biergarten are Caldera IPA, 21st Amendment Back in Black, Anderson Valley Barney Flatts, Golden Road Point the Way IPA, G’Knight by Oscar Blues, Joe’s Premium American Pilsner by Avery as well as Blackthorn Apple Cider. Beer is still also available on draft.
A leader in the hot dog revolution taking over Los Angeles, Dog Haus Biergarten offers a something-for-everyone menu including options to build your own creations with more than 40 toppings or choose from one of Dog Haus’ signature Haus Dogs such as the Sooo Cali, Downtown Dog, The Little Leaguer and Grand Slam among others. The Haus Dogs are also served on grilled King’s Hawaiian Bread instead of traditional buns–a culinary choice that customers rave about.
