DOG HAUS RELISHES ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY
WITH $1 HOT DOGS THURSDAY OCTOBER 20, 2011

Established Pasadena Restaurateurs Hit A Homerun
With Gourmet Hot Dogs, Hamburgers and Sausages
And Announce Plans To Expand Before End Of Year

Dog Haus, Pasadena’s go to eatery for an exciting and delicious variety of gourmet hot dogs, sausages, burgers and more, is celebrating its one year anniversary on October 20, 2011 with $1.00 dogs. The “Best of the Würst” is located at 105 North Hill Avenue in Pasadena at the corner of Union and Hill.

“We are thrilled with the overwhelming success of Dog Haus and thought what better way to celebrate our one year anniversary than by offering $1.00 hot dogs to our customers,” said Hagop Giragossian, a partner in the restaurant that has won rave reviews from customers and critics alike and is a 2011 Reader Recommended top pick in Pasadena Weekly’s Readers Poll. “Our hard work and commitment to bringing a fresh, fun and casual new dining establishment to the area has paid off many times over.”

So much so that Giragossian along with partners Quasim Riaz, André Vener and Robert and Denise Zeilstra plan to open two more locations by the end of this year, one in the heart of Old Pasadena and the other in Alhambra.

“Dog Haus quickly became a hit with its unique atmosphere, diverse offerings, dedication to details and commitment to customers,” said Vener who promises to spice things up even more with it’s new locations. “People asked us to expand and we are!. Complete with some surprises… We plan to be in the Dog Haus for many many years to come.”

The something-for-everyone menu includes options to build your own creations with more than 40 toppings or choose from; one of Dog Haus’ signature Haus Dogs such as the Sooo Cali, featuring mixed greens, diced tomato, tempura fried onions, spicy basil aioli and avocado, or the Downtown Dog, wrapped in bacon with mayo, mustard, ketchup, sautéed onions and peppers. The ten signature dogs also include the B.L.A.S.T., The Little Leaguer and Grand Slam. Giragossian’s desire for a sweet and savory combination led to serving the Haus Dogs on grilled King’s Hawaiian Bread instead of traditional buns–a culinary choice that customers rave about.

Living up to its reputation as the Best of the Würst, Dog Haus temptations also include a selection of gourmet sausages that range from Andouille, Bratwurst, Italian Chicken, Knockwurst and Spicy Italian to Three-Pepper Kielbasa. Dog Haus also features a homemade Curry Wurst that is becoming a favorite with the customers.

Also proving to be “best of the burgers”, Dog Haus offers a wide selection of build your own or signature hamburgers such as The Freiburger, which features their acclaimed beef patty, fresh-cut french fries, cole slaw, fried egg and cheese on grilled Hawaiian bread.

Veggie Dogs, Corn Dogs, Chili, Sweet Potato Fries, Tater Tots and It’s-It Ice Cream Sandwiches are only a sampling of the many other items on the Dog Haus menu. “We’ve also got a secret menu that regulars and those who follow us on facebook or Foursquare can get clued into,” notes Zeilstra.

Dog Haus also offers an extensive take-out menu, featuring combination packs including the Pick 6, Dirty Dozen and SausageFest.
