Yesterday Beacon Media, publisher of the Pasadena Independent, Arcadia Weekly, Monrovia Weekly, Sierra Madre Weekly and Temple City Tribune published the 2009 Readers’ Choice edition across all of it’s newspapers. This popular guide to the restaurants, retail stores, home & garden services and other businesses in the San Gabriel Valley has become an annual tradition since it’s inception 14 years ago.

A truly democratic issue, the 2009 Readers’ Choice features the results of a months long survey of all Beacon Media’s nearly 100,000 weekly readers who were asked to submit their favorite local businesses, from hamburger stands to hair salons.

Thousands of additional copies have been added to the weekly print run of all Beacon Media Publications for this celebratory issue, which is available on newsstands everywhere now. For those wishing to read the publication in a digital format, the link below will connect directly to the latest online Print Edition of your community paper, visible for all, in perpetuity, thanks to Beacon Media’s free digital archiving system implemented at the beginning of 2009.

A direct link to the publication will be provided below. Additionally, Beacon Media is in the process of implementing a searchable, web archive of each of the listings included in this year’s publication along with relevant information relating to each category’s winner and runner up. The system is expected to be live within the next week and will be available at the company’s new portal site, www.beaconmedianews.com.
