VIDEO: CROOKS & CASTLES PRESENTS MAMBO

Crooks & Castles Presents Mambo from Crooks & Castles on Vimeo.

The original street wear brand Crooks & Castles has always been able to define cool with ready to wear kicks and clothing. Now their creative team has reached out to Mambo, a French artist who recently jumped ship to join us in LA, and is planning on something big. The artist will be doing a large scale mural in Downtown Los Angeles as part of the Los Angeles Art Walk Series.

“My main inspiration is us, humans, and our behaviours. I like to express our feelings and emotions through the bodies, faces and hands. This piece will be called “Modern Cannibalism” and is mainly about the rat race, and how people will eat and step over others to achieve their goals, but is beyond that. My message is not obvious and part of it is just for you to imagine. So please take a seat and enjoy.” said Mambo

In the past Mambo has collaborated with The Standard, Prada and Samsung. He is well known for his abstract collage paintings like the piece below. Keep an eye out for these tastemakers, and watch their video introducing the artist and his ideas about collaborations.
