Pasadena Volleyball Sweeps Muir in Season Finale

This last game of the season between Pasadena and Muir might not have had many implications in the Pacific League standings, but a showdown between cross-town rivals is always one worth watching.

It hasn’t been the best year for both the Pasadena and Muir girls volleyball teams as the Bulldogs finished fifth in the Pacific League at 6-8 while the Mustangs finished last 0-14. However, it’s safe to say that each team wanted to go out on a high note by winning their final game of the season last Thursday.

The last meeting between the two sides was on Sept. 18 where Pasadena got the better of Muir with a comfortable 3-0 sweep. Much to the chagrin of Muir, the second match-up panned out in much similar fashion with the Bulldogs getting another sweep over their bitter rivals with set scores of 25-13, 25-11 and 25-19.

Both Pasadena and Muir will not qualify for CIF playoffs as Burroughs and Arcadia finished tied for first at 13-1 while Crescenta Valley and Burbank finished tied for third at 9-5.
