City of Monrovia continuing to clean up debris from weekend wind event

The City of Monrovia is continuing to clean up fallen limbs, trees and debris since the wind event on Friday and Saturday, as city crews are working through the streets of Monrovia to pick up piles of debris.

Residents with downed trees and limbs can stack them in the front yard near the street to be hauled off.

“Crews will continue picking up debris through the end of the week so please don’t worry if we haven’t come just yet…we’ll get there,” said Monrovia City Manager Dylan Feik.

In addition, the city is placing large roll-off dumpsters at three different locations should residents wish to dump green waste. The bins are already placed at the following locations:

Edison is still responding to a backlog in regards to power outages. They have crews scattered throughout the area working to restore power, and city staff from Community Development are assisting those with significant damage to residential properties.
